BIOGRAPHY

Composer, performer and music researcher Susan Lindquist has a vast knowledge of sacred repertoire for the solo voice. She has spent many years researching and cataloguing this music. As a church soloist, Susan began her career in high school. She has since sung in many churches all over the east, northeast and midwest regions of the United States. In addition, Susan is a church organist and harpist. She loves performing with singer Fran Bachmann in their harp and vocal duo, The Inspirations.

Prolific as a composer, Susan began her own music company, SLVivace, in 1998 in order to publish her own sacred music. She soon began publishing the works of other composers as well. In addition to her vocal works, Susan began to branch out and create arrangements for both organ and harp.

Most important to Susan, SLVivace has been offering transpositions services of sacred songs for singers. Susan is dedicated to providing correct keys knowing that singers give their best performances when the music is in the right key for their individual voices.

Susan is also one of the main contributing editors of "Solo Thoughts," a quarterly publication that gives insightful and well-researched repertoire suggestions for the church soloist in Christian Science services. Click here for Solo Thoughts -- now offered exclusively at Watchfire Music.
